General Information
Just a few miles from the Tuscan border and from the city of Cortona, "The Charming Resort" is a meticulously and elegantly restored typical 17th century stone farmhouse. The property is elegantly decorated with antiques and unique country furniture and offers a sense of peaceful privacy for an unforgettable vacation amid beautiful surroundings, with many attractions nearby.
Guest have at their disposal a garden of about 3000 sq. m. (1200 acres), including a large veranda/arcade with stone BBQ and a childrens playground. The 6 x12m (20’x40’) swimming pool (depth graduated from 80 to 250 cm/2’62” to 8’20”) features a diving board and has a fully-equipped poolside area with deckchairs, sun beds, pool towels, a bathroom with shower and a changing room.
The Ground Floor consists of: living-room with small fireplace, sat-TV, VHS video recorder, HI-FI and CD, kitchen (oven, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, American coffee machine), dining-room, 1 twin bedded room and 1 double bedded room ( one of which gives access to the other ), 1 bathroom with shower, veranda with access to garden.
The First Floor consists of: living-room with massive fireplace, dining-room, kitchen (oven, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, micro-wave, washing machine) with small terrace and exit to the garden, 1 double bedded room through which you enter a twin bedded room with en suite shower/WC.
The Second Floor consists of: 2 double bedded rooms each with entrance-room, 1 big bathroom with bathtub and double lavabo.
A welcome Saturday Night Dinner with typical local dishes will be offered to the guest the day of their arrival. Upon request a cook will be available to let the guests enjoy the delights of the Italian cuisine.
“The Charming Resort” is situated in an excellent position and whether guests are historical and cultural lovers, there are many nearby sites to explore. Cortona, the “city of art”, birthplace of the great pre-Michelangelo painter, Luca Signorelli, is just 15 miles away.One of the most beautiful cities of Italy due to its rich history and its artistic treasures, Perugia is only 35 miles away and is a wonderful place to explore; it is home to one of the oldest Italian universities, the Umbria Jazz summer Festival and other important events like Eurochocolate. Nearby Assisi, home to St.Francis, is 40 miles away, while Florence, birthplace of the Renaissance and one of the most incredible cities in the world, is 80 miles away. Citta Di Castello, famous for the annual National Horse Fair (September) and for the Truffle Festival (October) is reachable in 20 miles.
Lake Trasimeno, 20 miles away, offers sandy beaches, safe swimming and a whole variety of water sports. The nearest small town is 4 miles away which has a grocery store and a post office.
